The idea for Interference presented itself to me while I was sorting through my webcam photo archive. I realized physical conditions occasionally create interesting anomalies. Rain or snow on the camera housing appears in some images, a reflection adds an unanticipated layer to others, or else some other disruption of the target subject manifests itself.

I think about these anomalies as a kind of unconscious contestation of public space. To reference the laptop screen these photographs are face-mounted to plexi and backed with blue sintra.
