Images generated by webcameras are fleeting, as transitory as numbers on a clock-face. I grab photos out of online streams, reformat them and prepare them for life off-screen. I find once the rough digital exposures are recontextualized, their nature changes. They move beyond the distanced instrumentality implicit in their origins and turn into indeterminate hybrids; more substantial and at the same time more ambivalent than at their source.
